This course is for infrastructure practitioners who can write simple PowerShell scripts and want to begin managing configuration from code.
The recommended starting point is PowerShell skill level 2.

Practical learning

Training programme
Day 1: DSC foundations and resources
- Review DSC principles including resources, idempotence, and modules
- Compose a configuration and apply it to a node
- Author a simple DSC resource
- Discover community modules and reusable resources
Day 2: Configuration data and delivery
- Author DSC configuration documents
- Separate configuration data and work with YAML-based data
- Establish the foundations of a configuration pipeline
- Compare current DSC versions and their practical differences
Delivery
This is two days of private company training in English or French, subject to availability. It can be delivered remotely or in person.
